Four Seasons performance at the National Dance Theatre

The work, created for seven Central European Dance Theatre dancers, brings the most characteristic elements of Kuźmiński's choreographic style to the stage, accompanied by Antonio Vivaldi's four-movement violin work. His work showcases the most distinctive aspects of Kuźmiński's style mixed with a reinterpretation of folk traditions.

In the ever-changing structure of the Four Seasons, nature and culture, rebirth and return are intertwined and become a broader metaphor for life as change.

It presents the summer season first, which deals with the relationship between the community and the individual by rethinking our country's traditions and incorporating elements of Hungarian folk dance.

Subsequently, the autumn season presents us with the themes of coexistence, constancy, and the relationship between man and time.

In connection with winter, it discusses the themes of rebirth, conscious thinking, and the inner welling up of individuality.

Finally, it closes the performance with spring, the issue of free will, new, promising beginnings, and feelings of hope.

The work will be premiered on Thursday, April 24th, at the National Dance Theatre.
