Heroes’ Square will be transformed into a giant open-air football festival from Thursday 28 May to Sunday 31 May as Budapest prepares to host the 2026 UEFA Champions League Final at Puskás Aréna.
The free four-day UEFA Champions Festival will bring live music, football activities, interactive fan experiences and appearances by football legends to one of Budapest’s most iconic public spaces.
The festival officially opens on Thursday morning with the arrival of the UEFA Champions League trophy, presented by former Brazil captain Cafu alongside Budapest Mayor Gergely Karácsony.
A major highlight of the weekend will be a headline performance by Sigala, who is set to perform on Friday 29 May at 21:00 on the main stage in front of the Museum of Fine Arts.
UEFA has also confirmed that Hungarian favourites Carson Coma will appear during Thursday evening’s opening concert alongside Vasovski Symphonic Live.
UEFA says the festival will continue throughout final day with football activities, live entertainment and fan experiences at Heroes’ Square ahead of the UEFA Champions League Final at Puskás Aréna later that evening.
Large crowds are expected across central Budapest as thousands of supporters from across Europe gather in the Hungarian capital before kick-off. Fan zones, concerts and football-themed attractions are expected to create a festival atmosphere throughout the city from the afternoon until late into the evening.
Throughout the festival, visitors will be able to take part in football-themed games and skills challenges, enjoy live entertainment and family programmes, and take photos with the famous Champions League trophy.
