Hungary's own contemporary art scene will also feature prominently. Established galleries such as Erdész, Godot and Várfok will be joined by younger artists and innovative initiatives, reflecting the continuing evolution of the country's artistic landscape.

Visitors can expect to encounter creative voices and galleries from countries including South Africa, the United States, El Salvador, Japan, China, South Korea, Nigeria, Venezuela and Zimbabwe. This mix of established names and emerging talent is part of what makes the fair so rewarding. One moment, visitors may find themselves admiring the work of a recognised artist; the next, discovering a fresh perspective or an unfamiliar creative voice that leaves a lasting impression.

One of the notable highlights of the 2026 edition is Start Market, a programme dedicated to supporting artists at the beginning of their professional journeys.

Bringing together students from Hungarian and Central European art universities, recent graduates and institutions committed to nurturing young talent, the initiative creates opportunities for emerging artists to present their work to a wider audience.

Participating institutions include the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design and the University of Pécs, alongside art institutions from Czechia, Georgia, Poland and Slovakia.

The programme also reaches beyond the visual arts. Students from the Hungarian Dance University will perform during the fair, adding a live, dynamic dimension to the event and highlighting the connections between visual expression and performance.

The event coincides with Liszt Ünnep, running from 8 to 22 October 2026 and featuring music, dance, literature and visual arts throughout Budapest.

Whether you are an experienced collector, a passionate photography enthusiast or simply a curious traveller, the fair provides an opportunity to encounter new ideas, discover unfamiliar artists and experience Budapest from a different cultural perspective.
