Pianist-conductor-composer Fabian Müller will play Mozart, Narek Hakhnazaryan, who was called a true phenomenon by The Washington Post, will play Elgar, while conductor-cellist Tibor Bogányi will play the concerto of the PFZ concertmaster-composer Zoltán Bánfalvi. There will be exciting concerts again in the twenty-year Pannon season ticket.
Complex personalities are arriving in Budapest, and at the last concert, we can witness an actual role reversal: the former chief conductor of the Pécs orchestra will this time perform a concerto for orchestra and cello by concertmaster-composer Zoltán Bánfali, conducted by the current chief conductor Gergely Kesselyák. In the series, Kesselyák once again presents the beautiful side of the 20th century: the American Heidi Stober performs Alban Berg's Seven Early Songs.
In the series of five concerts, Kelemen Barnabás plays Sibelius under the baton of Varga Gilbert, while the Spaniard Roberto Forés Veses makes his debut in Hungary.
The titles of the concerts speak for themselves: From the Fable, From Dusk to Dawn, Meditation, and Fever, From Within Us, and finally, Role Exchange. In addition to the aforementioned authors, we can hear works by Ravel, Mozart, Casella, de Falla, Rachmaninov, Debussy, Berlioz, Bartók, and Shostakovich.
As usual, the ensemble is also preparing unique innovations: children aged 6-18 will continue to be able to enter the concerts free of charge, and a new online video education platform will be introduced for them.
Together with their season ticket holders, they will donate a percentage of their revenue from every season ticket sale to planting trees, as a thank you for the instruments, the sheet music, and the wall coverings in the concert halls.
Overall, it can be said that the PFZ is giving it its all next season, and it is definitely worth being a season ticket holder.
